Product Overview
SikaShield W159 ED 1,5 mm is a 1.5 mm bituminous waterproofing membrane that is wet-applied to concrete using SikaShield W1 adhesive mortar rather than a torch, allowing safe installation in confined and fire-sensitive areas. Built on a cross-laminated polyethylene film reinforcement with removable liners, the sheet bonds fully to the substrate to resist lateral water migration and can even be installed on wet concrete. It is used for basements, vertical reinforced-concrete walls, single and strip foundations, and as a single layer under heavy protection or a base sheet in multi-layer systems. The membrane stays flexible in cold conditions and offers high impact resistance.
