UltraTech Readiplast Projekt
Factory-blended cement plaster that gives site crews the same trowel-ready mortar on bag one and bag one thousand.
What is it?
A factory-manufactured, polymer-modified cement plaster supplied as a single ready-to-use powder — no on-site sand grading, cement dosing or gauging required.
Where is it used?
Internal and external walls on RCC frames, stone masonry, clay brick and fly-ash block construction, across residential towers, commercial buildings and infrastructure projects.
Why use it?
It replaces variable site-mixed mortar with a controlled, batch-tested formulation, cutting rework, rebound loss and plastering time on large elevations.
How is it applied?
Mixed with 15-20% potable water by weight, applied with a standard trowel and spatula up to 12 mm in a single coat, then levelled, finished and water-cured like conventional plaster.
About UltraTech Readiplast Projekt
Plastering is usually the single biggest quality headache on a large masonry job. Sand quality swings from truckload to truckload, the mason’s cement-to-sand ratio drifts through the day, and every gang mixes slightly differently — so the same building can carry visibly different plaster strength and finish from floor to floor. UltraTech Readiplast Projekt was built to take that variability out of the equation. It is cement, graded sand and polymer additives pre-blended at the factory and bagged as a single ready-to-use powder, so every 40 kg bag delivers the same mix design regardless of who opens it on site.
For Space Arc’s project customers — EPC contractors, plastering subcontractors and consultants running multi-tower or institutional jobs — that consistency is the real value, not just the finish. Readiplast Projekt is stocked for pan-India project dispatch from our Sahibabad base and sits alongside our wider UltraTech and Fosroc ranges, so a single order can cover the project-grade bulk-plastering pack for tower elevations along with any complementary repair or waterproofing material your programme needs before the plaster goes on.
The technical insight
Readiplast Projekt works because the cement, sand grading and polymer dosage are fixed at the plant, not guessed on site. The polymers modify water retention in the wet mix, so the mortar doesn’t lose moisture too fast into a thirsty brick or block substrate before it has hydrated — this is what keeps rebound loss and micro-cracking down compared with a hand-mixed 1:4 or 1:6 site plaster. The graded sand fraction is also controlled, which is why the material trowels out to a uniform 12 mm coat without the coarse pockets or fines-heavy patches that show up as texture defects once paint goes on. The result is a plaster that behaves the same on the fifteenth floor as it did on the ground floor — which is exactly what a QA engineer signing off elevation-wise plastering wants to see.
Where it is used
- Internal wall plastering in RCC-framed apartment and office towers
- External rendering on brick and block masonry facades
- Plastering over fly-ash block and concrete block walls in affordable-housing projects
- Institutional and infrastructure plastering — schools, hospitals, metro stations, airports
- Industrial shed and warehouse wall plastering
- Patch plastering to even out damaged or inconsistent site-mixed plaster sections
- Base-coat preparation ahead of putty, texture paint or POP finishes
- Large-volume project plastering where mason-to-mason consistency must be guaranteed under QA
Key advantages
- Factory-controlled mix design removes batch-to-batch variation in strength and finish
- Cuts material wastage versus site-mixed mortar, since dosing errors are eliminated
- Faster plastering cycle — no time lost screening sand or gauging cement on site
- Lower rebound loss on trowel application, saving material cost on large elevations
- Reduced water absorption in the cured plaster, supporting better paint adhesion and durability
- Tested against IS 1661, IS 2250 and IS 2402 parameters, useful for project QA documentation
- Works with standard mason tools — no specialised equipment or training needed
- Single coat up to 12 mm reduces the number of passes needed on most walls
Limitations & considerations
- Hand-trowel product, not a spray-applied machine plaster — productivity per mason is still manual-labour-paced
- Single coat is capped at 12 mm; thicker sections need two coats with a keying and curing gap between them, adding a day to the programme
- Pot life is short, about an hour at 27°C, so gangs must mix only what they can apply before it starts to stiffen
- It is a plain grey cement plaster, not a decorative render — it still needs a putty or paint system on top for the finished look
- Performance depends on genuine curing discipline (7 days, watered 2-3 times daily); skipping this undermines the strength the product is designed to deliver
- Coverage and finish are validated for RCC, brick, block and stone substrates listed on the pack — non-standard substrates warrant a site trial first
Selection & best practice
Pre-wet the substrate until it stops absorbing surface water, and rake out mortar joints in brick and block work to give the plaster a mechanical key. Mix only what one gang can apply within the pot life — roughly an hour at 27°C — since re-tempering a stiffened batch with extra water weakens it. Apply in a single pass up to 12 mm; if the wall needs more, let the first coat go touch-hard, key it, and come back with a second coat rather than building one thick layer in one go. Once the surface is levelled and finished, start curing within a few hours and keep it damp for a full 7 days, watering at least two to three times a day — this is the step site teams skip under programme pressure, and it’s the one that determines whether the plaster reaches its rated 28-day strength. Store bags off the ground on pallets and use within the 6-month shelf life, since moisture pickup in storage affects both pot life and finish quality.

Industry use cases
Residential high-rise & townships
Bulk internal and external plastering across repetitive floor plans, where consistent bag-to-bag quality keeps elevation finish uniform tower to tower.
Commercial & office complexes
Large-format wall plastering ahead of tight fit-out schedules, where predictable pot life and coverage make labour planning easier.
Infrastructure (metro, airports, institutional)
Specification-driven projects that need IS-compliant plaster with documented compressive strength for QA sign-off.
Industrial sheds & warehouses
Plastering over large low-rise wall areas where reduced rebound loss and faster trowel-out cut material and labour cost per square foot.
Affordable housing & EWS projects
Cost-controlled plastering on brick and fly-ash block walls where reduced wastage versus site-mixed mortar directly protects thin project margins.

How we position UltraTech Readiplast Projekt
Readiplast Projekt is UltraTech’s project-scale plastering mortar; for smaller repair patches, touch-up work or retail-quantity plastering, Space Arc also stocks the standard UltraTech Readiplast range in smaller pack formats. Where a project specification calls for a different nominated brand, Fosroc Renderoc Plaster is a genuine like-for-like alternative in our catalogue. And where the job needs waterproofing under or over the plastered surface — parapets, terraces, wet areas — pair it with our Dr. Fixit or Fosroc waterproofing systems rather than treating plaster as a substitute for a dedicated membrane.
Fosroc Fosroc Renderoc Plaster — Fosroc’s factory-blended cement plaster covers the same job — a polymer-modified, ready-to-use render for RCC, brick and block walls, finished by trowel or spray. Choose it when a project specification nominates Fosroc as the approved brand, or where Renderoc’s low-permeability, non-shrink profile is specifically called for over Readiplast Projekt’s IS-code-compliant plastering mortar.
