Product Overview

Nitoproof 600 is a factory-manufactured, self-adhesive bituminous waterproofing membrane consisting of a modified bitumen layer reinforced with a high-tensile cross-laminated polyethylene film carrier. The self-adhesive bitumen underface bonds directly to clean concrete or blinding layer substrates without the need for hot bitumen or torch application, making it faster and safer to install than torch-applied membranes. Nitoproof 600 is primarily used in below-grade horizontal applications — underneath tunnel base slabs, beneath foundation raft slabs and basement slabs, and at the base of cut-and-cover structures — where a continuous, seam-bonded, puncture-resistant waterproofing layer is required before the structural slab is cast on top. Laps between sheets are sealed by the self-adhesive bitumen at the overlap zone, which bonds to the underside of the next sheet to form a continuous waterproofing plane. After the membrane is applied, the structural concrete slab is cast directly on top, providing the protection course by dead weight.
