Sika-3 IN is a mid-range, lignosulphonate-based water reducing and plasticizing admixture for concrete. It reduces the water demand of concrete mixes by 5–10%, enabling either the same workability at lower w/c ratio (higher strength) or increased workability at the same w/c ratio (easier placing). As one of the most cost-effective concrete admixtures in the Sika range, Sika-3 IN is widely specified for general building concrete, mass concrete, and volume concrete applications where significant cost savings can be achieved through reduced cement content or improved concrete quality at minimal admixture cost. It also provides mild set retardation that is beneficial in hot Indian weather conditions, extending the usable life of the mix.
