Product Overview

Hydroproof Xtra is a rapid setting, polymer-modified cementitious slurry for the waterproofing and repair of fine surface cracks, porous concrete, and construction defects in water retaining structures, tanks, basements, and below-grade elements. It is used as a brush-applied slurry coat that fills and bridges fine surface cracks (typically up to 0.2 mm width), seals the capillary pore structure of porous concrete, and provides a waterproofing barrier on the treated surface. Unlike crystalline waterproofing treatments that penetrate deeply into the concrete, Hydroproof Xtra is a surface-applied slurry that builds a physical film layer over the surface. The rapid setting formulation reduces the risk of wash-out from rainwater or surface damp before the product can cure, making it practical to apply in field conditions. Hydroproof Xtra is used as a pre-treatment to seal porous and cracked concrete substrates before the application of more comprehensive waterproofing systems (Brushbond TGP, Nitoproof systems), or as a standalone light waterproofing treatment for elements with minor surface defects in non-critical applications.
