Renderoc CF
Controlled Flow Cementitious Repair Mortar for Formed and Poured Repairs
Authorized Project Distributor — Fosroc India | Space Arc Engineering, Ghaziabad
Product Overview
Renderoc CF is a controlled-flow repair mortar from Fosroc designed for formed (shuttered) repairs to structural concrete elements where hand-applied mortars like Renderoc HB2 cannot be used due to the geometry, depth, or inaccessibility of the repair area. In formed repairs, the mortar is mixed to a flowing consistency and poured or pumped into formwork erected around the repair area, where it flows to fill the shuttered void without requiring extensive manual compaction. This approach is used for repair of concrete columns, piers, piles, beams, and soffits where the deterioration is deep, covers a large area, or where access for hand application is restricted. Renderoc CF is fibre-reinforced to control plastic shrinkage cracking, which is particularly important in formed repairs that are encased in formwork and cannot be finished or retrowelled as they set. The product is pre-bagged as a single-component mortar requiring only the addition of clean water — ensuring consistent quality and eliminating the need for site mixing of multiple components. Renderoc CF achieves high compressive and tensile bond strength, is compatible with the reinforcing steel environment, and can be finished to a surface that matches the parent concrete in colour and texture. Space Arc Engineering distributes Renderoc CF for bridge, infrastructure, and building repair and rehabilitation projects across Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, and Northern India.
Applications
- Formed repairs to deteriorated bridge columns and piers

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a formed repair and when is Renderoc CF used instead of a hand-applied mortar?
A formed repair (or shuttered repair) is one where temporary formwork is erected around the repair area to contain the repair material, which is then poured or pumped into the formwork void. Hand-applied mortars like Renderoc HB2 are trowelled or sprayed directly onto the substrate without formwork. Renderoc CF is selected over hand-applied mortars when the repair is too deep for hand trowelling in thin layers, when the geometry (such as a column or round pier) makes hand application difficult, when very large repair areas need to be filled efficiently, or when the soffit position makes hand application impractical. Formed repairs generally produce a better surface finish matching the parent concrete profile.
Does Renderoc CF need a primer before application?
Yes. Like all Fosroc Renderoc repair mortars, Renderoc CF requires the application of a bonding primer to the prepared concrete substrate before placing the repair mortar. Nitobond EP (an epoxy bonding agent) or Nitobond SBR (a polymer-modified slurry) are the appropriate primers depending on site conditions. The substrate must be prepared by mechanical means (hydrodemolition, grinding, or scabbling) to remove all carbonated or contaminated concrete and expose sound aggregate before priming. Applying the repair mortar over an unprimed substrate risks adhesion failure of the repair — the primer is not optional in structural repair work.
Can Renderoc CF be pumped into formwork for large or deep repairs?
Yes. Renderoc CF is designed for formed repairs and can be poured by gravity or pumped into formwork using a standard grout or mortar pump. For very deep repairs or long horizontal runs of formwork, pumping is preferred to ensure complete filling of the formwork without cold joints or voids. The formwork should be vented at the top to allow air to escape as the mortar fills from the bottom. Very long formwork runs should be filled in stages to avoid excessive hydrostatic pressure on the formwork panels. Consult the Fosroc product data sheet for pump equipment recommendations and maximum pour height limits.
