Product Overview
SikaSwell® S-2 is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant that swells when it comes into contact with water, forming a watertight seal inside construction joints and around penetrations in concrete. Applied directly from a cartridge or unipac with a standard sealant gun, it is gunned as a continuous bead onto a clean, sound substrate, where it cures to a tough yet flexible profile. As water reaches the bead it expands and presses against the surrounding concrete, blocking the passage of moisture even through repeated wet and dry cycles. It is widely used to seal cold joints, pipe and steel penetrations through walls and slabs, and cable-duct entries, and it also bonds SikaSwell® A and P profiles in place.
