MC-Bauchemie MC-DUR 110-IN
A transparent, two-component epoxy sealer that soaks into bare concrete to kill dust, resist diesel and dilute chemicals, and leave a seamless, easy-clean floor.
What is it?
A 2:1 (resin:hardener) solvent-free transparent epoxy sealer that impregnates mineral substrates rather than building a thick film on top of them.
Where is it used?
Car parks, ramps, garages, petrol stations, car-wash bays and chemical, pharma, food-processing, bottling and dairy floors needing a dust-free, chemical-resistant surface without a full trowel-applied flooring build.
Why use it?
It stops concrete dusting, resists diesel, petrol, dilute acids/alkalis and many solvents, and gives a seamless, easy-to-clean floor at a fraction of the cost and build-up of a self-levelling epoxy or PU system.
How is it applied?
Brush- or roller-applied in two coats, in alternating X and Y directions, over fully cured, laitance-free concrete at 150-200 gm/m² per coat.
About MC-Bauchemie MC-DUR 110-IN
MC-DUR 110-IN is MC-Bauchemie’s transparent epoxy floor sealer — a two-component, solvent-free duromer coating built to soak into concrete rather than sit on it. Mixed in a 2:1 resin-to-hardener ratio and applied by brush or roller, it impregnates the pores of a mineral substrate, so the bond is closer to a densified, chemically hardened skin than a film stuck on top. That’s what lets a thin build — just 100-150 microns per coat — deliver good abrasion resistance, resistance to diesel, petrol, dilute acids and alkalis, and a genuinely dust-free, easy-to-wipe surface, without the thickness or cost of a full epoxy/PU flooring system.
In the Indian market this makes it a workhorse for floors that don’t need a heavy-duty topping: basement car parks and ramps, petrol pump forecourts, garages and car-wash bays, and process floors in food, pharma, dairy and bottling plants where a nontoxic, chemical-resistant, dust-free finish matters more than colour or wearing-course thickness. As an authorised MC-Bauchemie distributor and applicator, Space Arc Engineering supplies MC-DUR 110-IN across Delhi NCR and pan-India with the surface prep and application discipline it actually needs — a sealer that works by impregnation lives or dies on substrate condition, not just the tin.
The technical insight
The whole performance case rests on impregnation, not encapsulation. Because it’s meant to be drawn into the concrete’s capillary structure rather than bridge over it, surface prep matters more here than for a thicker self-levelling system — the substrate must be sound, laitance-free, free of release oils and curing compounds, ideally tested for a minimum 25 N/mm² compressive strength and 1.5 N/mm² pull-off strength before the sealer goes on. The two-coat, cross-hatch application (X-direction first coat, Y-direction second) isn’t a formality; it’s how a thin, low-build sealer avoids pinholes across a large floor. The other number to plan around is pot life — just 30 minutes at 27°C, shorter still on a hot NCR site day — so crews should mix small, workable batches, and application itself is capped once ambient or substrate temperature exceeds 35°C or falls below 10°C.
Where it is used
- Dust-proofing sealer for bare or newly cured concrete floors
- Basement car parks, ramps and driveways under vehicle traffic
- Garages and car-wash bays needing oil and diesel resistance
- Petrol pump forecourts and fuel-handling areas
- Food-processing, bottling and dairy floors needing a nontoxic, wash-down-resistant finish
- Pharmaceutical plant floors specified for a seamless, easy-clean surface
- Chemical-handling areas exposed to dilute acids, alkalis and solvents
- Light-duty workshop floors needing an economical seal over new concrete
Key advantages
- Transparent finish seals concrete without hiding its natural look
- Good chemical and high abrasion resistance from a genuinely impregnated bond
- Resists diesel oil, dilute acids, alkalis and numerous solvents
- Impregnates the mineral surface for real adhesion, not just a surface film
- Seamless, dust-free, easy-to-clean finish
- Nontoxic cured film suited to food, pharma and dairy environments
- Fast 6-hour tack-free time keeps the two-coat programme moving
- Lower material cost and build-up than a full epoxy/PU flooring system
Limitations & considerations
- 30-minute pot life at 27°C is unforgiving in Indian summer heat, demanding small-batch mixing
- Thin build (100-150 microns/coat) makes it a sealer, not a wearing course — won’t fill cracks or level an uneven floor
- Needs sound substrate: minimum 25 N/mm² compressive strength and 1.5 N/mm² pull-off, so poor prep shows up as poor bonding
- Temperature-locked application, halting below 10°C or above 35°C — a real constraint outdoors
- Solvent-cleaned system only (MC-Thinner EP, never water), so ventilation and handling need care
- Being transparent, it won’t mask blemishes or colour variation the way a pigmented coating would
Selection & best practice
Confirm the concrete is fully cured, laitance-free and free of oil or curing compound, and fill honeycombs and pinholes with a Nafuquick-range repair mortar first. Mix only what a crew can apply within the 30-minute pot life, keep temperature between 10-30°C with relative humidity under 85% and at least 3K above dew point, and apply the two coats in alternating X and Y directions so the second only goes on once the first is fully dry.

How we position MC-Bauchemie MC-DUR 110-IN
Within MC-Bauchemie’s own range, MC-DUR 110-IN sits at the entry, impregnating-sealer end of floor protection — where a project needs a pigmented, thicker or trafficked wearing surface, specifiers typically move up to MC-Bauchemie’s self-levelling or broadcast epoxy/PU flooring systems. Against the wider market, the closest like-for-like is Fosroc’s Nitoflor FC140, a two-pack pigmented epoxy floor coating for the same car-park and light-industrial floors; where the brief wants a visible, colour-coded finish rather than a transparent, texture-preserving seal, Nitoflor FC140 is the more natural fit, and Space Arc can supply and apply either depending on substrate and budget.
Fosroc Nitoflor FC140 — When the brief wants a visible, pigmented, colour-coded epoxy finish rather than a transparent, texture-preserving sealer, specifiers often turn to Fosroc’s Nitoflor FC140 instead.
