Conbextra STD
Standard Grade Non-Shrink Cementitious Precision Grout
Authorized Project Distributor — Fosroc India | Space Arc Engineering, Ghaziabad
Product Overview
Conbextra STD is a factory pre-blended, single-component, standard grade non-shrink cementitious precision grout for general base plate, column footing, and machinery grouting applications where the design loading does not require the high-strength dual shrinkage compensation of the Conbextra GP series. It provides reliable non-shrink performance through a gas-releasing expansive agent that compensates for plastic shrinkage during the setting phase, ensuring positive contact between the base plate and the concrete foundation pad at all times. Conbextra STD is the economical choice for the wide range of standard grouting applications encountered in building construction and general industry — column base plates in multi-storey buildings, pre-cast concrete column connections, anchor bolt pockets, and machinery bases where the compressive strength requirement is in the moderate range. It is supplied as a pre-packed dry powder that requires only the addition of clean water on site to produce a consistent, flowable, non-shrink grout ready for placing by hand, gravity, or pump. Space Arc Engineering distributes Conbextra STD for structural and industrial projects across Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, and Northern India.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Conbextra STD and Conbextra GP1 or GP3?
Conbextra STD uses a gas-releasing mechanism for plastic shrinkage compensation during the setting phase only. Conbextra GP1 and GP3 use dual shrinkage compensation (plastic and long-term drying shrinkage) and deliver higher compressive strength. Conbextra STD is the standard economy option for general grouting where the specification does not call for BS EN 1504-6 Type C or high strength. For precision machine base grouting, bridge bearings, or heavily loaded structural connections, specify Conbextra GP series instead.
Can Conbextra STD be used for grouting in rain or damp conditions?
Conbextra STD should be protected from rain immediately after placing and during the initial setting period. Heavy rain can wash out the cement and dilute the grout, reducing strength. Protect poured grout with polythene sheeting in rainy conditions. The concrete substrate should be clean and damp (pre-wetted) but not flooded — remove standing water before grouting.
What is the shelf life of Conbextra STD in bags?
Conbextra STD has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in dry conditions in original sealed bags, away from moisture and dampness. Once the bag is opened, use the contents in full within the same working day. Partially used bags exposed to moisture will absorb humidity and the expansive agent will be partially used up, reducing performance. Store bags on pallets off the ground in dry, covered storage.
