Reebol
Mould Release Oil for Concrete Formwork
Authorized Project Distributor — Fosroc India | Space Arc Engineering, Ghaziabad
Product Overview
Reebol is a mineral oil-based concrete mould release agent designed for application to plywood, steel, GRC (glass fibre reinforced concrete), timber, and other formwork surfaces before concrete is cast. Applied by brush, roller, or spray as a thin coat to the clean formwork face, Reebol cures to form a film that prevents the concrete from bonding to the formwork surface, ensuring clean, consistent release of the formwork without damage to the as-struck concrete surface or to the form itself. Clean and consistent formwork release is essential for achieving high-quality as-struck concrete surface finish — a critical requirement for architectural exposed concrete, precast concrete panels, and bridge and infrastructure concrete where surface blemishes from formwork sticking or tearing are unacceptable. Reebol is also used in precast concrete production where mould reuse rate and casting quality are commercially important. It is compatible with all standard concrete mix designs and is formulated to minimise the risk of staining or discolouring the concrete surface. Space Arc Engineering distributes Reebol for in-situ and precast concrete construction projects across Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, and Northern India.

Frequently Asked Questions
How thick a coat of Reebol should be applied to formwork?
Reebol should be applied as a thin, even coat to the formwork surface — a visible thin film that covers the entire surface without pooling or runs. Excess product should be wiped off. Over-application of release oil can cause surface blemishes on the concrete (staining, discolouration, surface bug holes) that are worse than the defects caused by insufficient application. A thin, even coat applied shortly before casting is the optimal approach.
Should Reebol be applied to new plywood formwork before first use?
Yes. New plywood sheets or steel forms should be coated with Reebol before first use to establish the protective film on the form surface. After each use, the form should be cleaned of concrete residue, inspected for damage, and re-coated with Reebol before re-use. The number of uses a form can achieve before replacement depends on the form material, the care taken in striking and cleaning, and the type of concrete being cast.
Can Reebol affect the adhesion of subsequent surface treatments to the concrete?
Release oil residue on as-struck concrete surfaces can affect adhesion of subsequent paint, coating, adhesive, or bonding applications. If the concrete surface is to be coated, tiled, or bonded to another element, it must be thoroughly cleaned by mechanical preparation (brushing, scarifying, or grinding) to remove release agent residue before surface treatments are applied. This is important for adhesion of Dekguard, Nitocote, epoxy coatings, or tile adhesives to cast concrete surfaces.
