Dr. Fixit Roofseal Polyplus is a premium, single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane (PU) liquid waterproofing membrane from Pidilite Industries designed for the waterproofing of flat concrete roofs, accessible and inaccessible terraces, podium slabs, and balconies in Indian buildings. It is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid that is applied directly to the prepared concrete substrate by brush, roller, or squeegee without requiring heating, mixing of components, or special equipment. Roofseal Polyplus cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to form a continuous, seamless, elastic polyurethane membrane that covers the entire roof surface including all complex details such as parapet wall upstands, pipe penetrations, roof drain surrounds, movement joint covers, and service conduit crossings — areas that are notoriously difficult to waterproof reliably with sheet membrane systems. The cured polyurethane membrane is highly elastic (elongation at break typically above 300 percent) enabling it to accommodate the significant thermal movement of a concrete roof slab in Indian conditions — a flat concrete roof in Delhi NCR can experience temperatures from below 5 degrees C in January to above 60 degrees C surface temperature in June, creating substantial thermal expansion and contraction cycling that cracks rigid coatings but is comfortably accommodated by the elastic PU membrane. Roofseal Polyplus is UV-stable and formulated to resist the intense ultraviolet radiation and ozone exposure at roof level in Indian conditions, maintaining its physical properties and waterproofing performance over an extended service life without premature chalking, embrittlement, or crack formation. It is available in a range of colours including grey, terra cotta, and offwhite.
