Fosroc Renderoc P
A polymer-fortified, single-pack cementitious decorative stucco finish for masonry and concrete walls — applied thin at 2-3 mm, with excellent substrate bond and a coloured, textured surface in one operation.
What is it?
Fosroc Renderoc P is a factory-blended, polymer-fortified cementitious decorative stucco wall finish supplied as a ready-to-use dry powder that requires only the site addition of clean water to produce a consistent, workable mortar.
Where is it used?
Applied as a thin 2-3 mm decorative skin coat over external (and internal) masonry, plaster and concrete walls on commercial buildings, residences, boundary walls, facades and feature surfaces across Delhi NCR and Pan-India.
Why use it?
It combines a coloured, textured architectural finish with a polymer-modified bond in a single product — no separate bonding primer is required and routine wet curing is generally not needed, which saves labour and programme time on site.
How is it applied?
The dry powder is gauged with clean water and mixed to a smooth consistency, then applied by trowel/float to a build of 2-3 mm and worked to the desired texture; surface preparation, sound substrate and correct water demand are the keys to a defect-free finish.
About Fosroc Renderoc P
Fosroc Renderoc P sits within the well-known Renderoc family, but it is important to position it correctly: it is not a structural concrete-repair mortar like Renderoc GP or Renderoc HB, nor a waterproofing system. Renderoc P is a decorative stucco wall finish — a thin, coloured, polymer-fortified cement skim applied at 2-3 mm to give masonry and concrete walls an even, textured, architectural appearance. Fosroc supplies it as a single-pack blend of dry powders, so the only site addition is clean water; there are no separate liquid polymer components to gauge, which makes batching on Indian sites simpler and more repeatable. The polymer fortification is what differentiates Renderoc P from an ordinary sand-cement render. The acrylic/polymer content improves adhesion to the background, reduces the tendency to dust and craze, and lets the material grip the substrate without a separate bonding coat. Fosroc explicitly lists two practical site advantages that flow from this chemistry: no independent primer is necessary, and curing is not generally required. For a country like India, where finishing trades are often paid by area and water curing of thin decorative coats is rarely done well in practice, those two points translate directly into faster, more forgiving application. Because Renderoc P is offered in a range of colours, it is used where the client wants a finished, decorative surface in one product rather than a render-plus-paint build-up. Typical scenarios in Delhi NCR and the wider market include boundary walls, plinths, facade bands, porches, compound walls and feature elevations where a uniform stucco texture is wanted. It is a finish coat, applied over a sound, properly prepared and reasonably flat background — not a levelling or repair material, and not a substitute for waterproofing on surfaces under hydrostatic load. Space Arc Engineering, as an authorised Fosroc distributor serving Delhi NCR and Pan-India, supplies Renderoc P alongside the rest of the Fosroc render and repair range, so the correct product can be matched to the substrate condition rather than forcing one product to do several jobs.
The technical insight
The defining feature of Renderoc P is its thin-build, polymer-fortified single-pack format. Because it is engineered to perform at only 2-3 mm, it behaves more like a decorative skim than a render: it cannot bridge significant undulations, fill deep voids or correct out-of-plumb walls. The substrate must therefore already be sound, flat and prepared — Renderoc P decorates, it does not level or repair. The polymer modification is the load-bearing idea here. By dispersing a polymer through the cement matrix, Fosroc raises the bond to the background and improves the cohesion of a very thin film, which is why no separate primer is specified and why the material resists the dusting and poor adhesion that plague thin neat-cement coats. The same polymer film reduces early water loss, which is the technical reason routine wet curing is generally unnecessary — but this is a finish-coat convenience, not a licence to apply in extreme heat or wind without protection. Water demand is the single most important variable the applicator controls: over-gauging to make the material more workable dilutes the polymer and cement, weakens the film and promotes shrinkage cracking and colour variation. On Indian sites the practical failure modes are nearly always preventable — applying over a dusty, friable or freshly-plastered (green) background, batching inconsistently between buckets so colour drifts across a wall, or working in direct midday sun so the thin coat flashes off before it is finished. Note that Fosroc’s public product page does not publish numerical strength, coverage or pack-size figures for Renderoc P, so any compressive-strength or coverage number must be taken from the current region-specific TDS or confirmed with Fosroc/Space Arc before being quoted in a specification.
Where it is used
- Decorative stucco finish on external masonry and concrete walls of commercial and residential buildings
- Coloured, textured finish on boundary walls, compound walls and plinths
- Facade bands, feature elevations and architectural accents requiring a uniform stucco texture
- Skim finish over sound rendered or plastered backgrounds where a one-coat coloured finish is wanted
- Internal feature walls and surfaces where a cementitious textured decorative finish is specified
- Refurbishment of existing sound walls to give a fresh, even, coloured stucco appearance
Key advantages
- Single-pack dry powder — only clean water added on site, simplifying batching and reducing mixing error
- No independent bonding primer required, saving a separate material and application step
- Curing not generally required, reducing labour and water-curing effort on thin decorative coats
- Polymer fortification gives excellent bond to the substrate and resists dusting and crazing of the thin film
- Decorative and coloured in one product, available in a range of colours — finish and colour in a single operation
- Thin 2-3 mm build means low material consumption per square metre compared with thick renders
- Backed by the established Fosroc Renderoc range and supplied Pan-India through authorised distribution
Limitations & considerations
- A decorative finish only — not a structural or load-bearing concrete-repair mortar; use Renderoc GP/HB/S for repairs
- Thin 2-3 mm build cannot level uneven walls, fill deep voids or correct out-of-plumb backgrounds
- Requires a sound, clean, prepared and reasonably flat substrate; will fail over dusty, friable or green backgrounds
- Not a waterproofing system — must not be relied on against hydrostatic pressure or standing water
- Over-watering during mixing weakens the film and causes shrinkage cracks and colour variation
- Application in direct hot sun, high wind or low temperatures risks flash-set, poor finish and colour drift
- Fosroc does not publish full numeric specifications (strength, coverage, pack size) on the public page — confirm via current TDS
Selection & best practice
Treat Renderoc P strictly as a finish coat over a sound, prepared background. Make good and allow any base plaster or repair to cure first; the surface must be clean, sound, free of dust, oil, laitance and loose material, and reasonably flat — Renderoc P will not hide undulations. Dampen highly absorbent backgrounds to a saturated-surface-dry condition (no free water) so the thin coat is not robbed of mix water. Gauge only with clean water at the consistency that gives workability without flooding the mix — resist the temptation to add extra water for ease of trowelling, as this is the chief cause of cracking and patchy colour. Batch consistently bucket-to-bucket and, for coloured work, keep the water ratio identical across the whole elevation to avoid shade variation; ideally complete a full wall or panel in one continuous operation working to natural breaks. Apply at the specified 2-3 mm and work to a uniform texture before the material stiffens. Protect fresh work from direct midday sun, drying wind and rain; avoid application in extreme heat or when temperatures are low and falling. Always work to the current region-specific Fosroc TDS and confirm coverage, colour range and pack size with Space Arc Engineering before ordering, and apply a sample panel for client sign-off on texture and colour.

How we position Fosroc Renderoc P
Renderoc P is best understood as a decorative finishing product, not a repair or waterproofing product — a distinction that matters when cross-selling within the Fosroc range. Where the job is actually structural concrete repair or reprofiling, the right Fosroc choices are Renderoc GP (general-purpose repair mortar), Renderoc HB (high-build vertical/overhead repair) or Renderoc S, with Renderoc Plaster or Renderoc Primer used for general polymer-modified plastering and bonding. Renderoc P comes in only after those works are sound and cured, to deliver the coloured stucco finish. Against the wider Indian market, Renderoc P competes with decorative cementitious and texture finishes from Dr. Fixit (Pidilite), the STP/MBCC (formerly Sika/MBS) ranges and various local texture/stucco coatings; many clients also compare it to acrylic textured exterior paints. Its genuine differentiators are the single-pack water-only format, the no-primer bond and the no-routine-curing convenience on thin coats, backed by Fosroc’s established Renderoc track record and Space Arc’s Pan-India authorised supply. Honestly, where a project needs heavy levelling, waterproofing or structural repair, Renderoc P is the wrong tool and one of those alternative product families should be specified instead — and Space Arc can advise on the correct match for the substrate and exposure.
