Product Overview

Sika® Rustoff-100 is a single-component liquid that strips rust from steel and lays down a passivating film to temporarily hold off further corrosion until subsequent coatings are applied. Its liquid form makes it easy to brush or spray, letting it reach difficult, congested reinforcement zones where rusted bars are hard to access. It is used on new and old reinforcement, embedded steel in structures awaiting repair, and steelwork such as tanks, pipelines, trusses, purlins and rafters, as well as smaller items like valves, bearings and tools. The product is especially useful where reinforcement has insufficient cover or thin sections. Space Arc Engineering, an authorized Sika distributor in India, supplies it in convenient pack sizes with technical support for repair crews. A clear liquid, it is left in contact until the reddish rust turns black.
