Brushbond TGP

Two-Component Flexible Cementitious Waterproofing Membrane

Authorized Project Distributor — Fosroc India | Space Arc Engineering, Ghaziabad

Product Overview

Brushbond TGP is a two-component, polymer-modified, flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane from Fosroc India, formulated for brush or roller application on concrete, masonry, and screeded surfaces. It consists of a powder component (cement-based waterproofing powder) and a liquid component (styrene-butadiene polymer dispersion), which when mixed together produce a slurry that cures to form a fully bonded, flexible, waterproof coating on the substrate. The flexibility of the cured membrane allows it to bridge fine hairline cracks in the substrate without cracking itself, making it suitable for application on slightly irregular or cracked concrete substrates. Applied in two or three coats to achieve a minimum 1.2 to 2.0 mm dry film thickness, Brushbond TGP provides a seamless, fully bonded waterproofing layer that is breathable from the substrate side (allowing vapour transmission) while being impermeable to liquid water. It is used for roof terraces, parapet walls, water tanks, basement walls (positive side), swimming pools, wet areas in buildings, and podium slabs. Space Arc Engineering distributes Brushbond TGP for roofing and waterproofing projects across Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, and Northern India.

Applications

  • Roof terrace and flat roof waterproofing under tile or screed
  • Parapet wall and upstand waterproofing
  • Water tank internal and external cementitious waterproofing
  • Basement external (positive side) waterproofing before backfill
  • Swimming pool shell waterproofing before tiles
  • Bathroom and wet area floor and wall waterproofing

Key Advantages

  • Flexible — crack-bridging capability for substrate crack tolerance
  • Fully bonded to substrate — no risk of membrane delamination
  • Two-component system for easy mixing and consistent quality
  • Breathable from substrate side — allows drying of substrate
  • Suitable for positive and negative hydrostatic pressure
  • Brush or roller applied — labour-friendly installation

Frequently Asked Questions

How many coats of Brushbond TGP are required?

A minimum of two coats of Brushbond TGP is required, applied in opposite directions, to achieve an adequate and pinhole-free waterproof membrane. For water retaining structures and areas subject to hydrostatic pressure, three coats should be applied. Each coat should be allowed to become touch-dry (typically 2 to 4 hours at 30 degrees C) before the next coat is applied. Curing with light misting of water between coats and after the final coat improves performance.

Can Brushbond TGP be used on the negative (internal) side of a basement?

Yes. Brushbond TGP can be applied on the negative (internal/wet) side of basement walls and floors to resist inward water pressure. The product has good adhesion to concrete and masonry and can resist negative hydrostatic pressure from the substrate side. Ensure the substrate is clean, sound, and free of active water seepage before application. For active leaks, seal with Nitofill UR63 PU injection first.

What is the pot life of mixed Brushbond TGP?

After mixing the powder and liquid components, Brushbond TGP has a pot life of approximately 2 hours at 25 degrees C. The pot life reduces at higher temperatures. Mix only the quantity that can be applied within the pot life. In hot Indian summer conditions, consider mixing smaller batches more frequently and keeping materials cool before use.
