E-commerce fulfilment and distribution centres: these facilities require a flat, smooth, joint-free floor surface for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and conveyor systems, and the seamless, perfectly level surface of MC-Floor 11 (achieved by the self-levelling flow) is required, while MC-Color E follows the existing surface texture of the concrete and will not achieve the floor flatness tolerance required by automated material handling systems. Cold storage and controlled temperature warehouses: in cold storage environments (0 to 5 degrees C), the thermal cycling experienced by the concrete floor creates significant expansion and contraction movement. MC-Floor 11 at 2 to 3 mm provides a more robust thermal-movement-resistant floor system than the thin MC-Color E paint which may crack or debond from the concrete under repeated thermal cycling.
