Product Overview

Proofex Engage is a heavy-duty, textured high density polyethylene (HDPE) sheet waterproofing membrane designed for below-grade waterproofing of basements, tunnels, cut-and-cover structures, and water retaining structures. The HDPE sheet is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, soils, and groundwater conditions encountered in Indian construction, making it suitable for aggressive subsoil environments including sulphate-bearing soils and contaminated ground. The textured surface on both faces of Proofex Engage promotes mechanical engagement with concrete cast on the positive side, ensuring the membrane remains bonded to the structural concrete even under hydrostatic pressure and ground movement. Proofex Engage is installed as a fully bonded or partially bonded waterproofing system depending on the application — for tunnel base slabs and raft foundations, partial bonding to the blinding concrete is used, with the structural slab cast to engage the membrane texture. Joints and laps are welded using hot-air welding tools to form a continuous, chemically resistant waterproofing envelope.
