MC-Bauchemie MC-Fastpack 2300 top
A low-viscosity, flexible PU injection resin that chases hairline cracks and stays elastic for the life of the structure, dosed cartridge by cartridge for accurate, low-pressure injection.
What is it?
A two-component, low-viscosity polyurethane elastomer injection resin, pre-loaded into 400 ml two-chamber cartridges for MC-Bauchemie’s Fastpack Power-Tool system.
Where is it used?
Live, hairline cracks, construction joints and cavities in concrete and masonry — basement and retaining walls, water-retaining tanks and reservoirs, tunnel joints, and manhole or pipe connections in sewer infrastructure.
Why use it?
Cured resin retains close to 100% free elongation, so it seals through slab movement, thermal cycling and minor settlement, where a rigid epoxy would simply crack open again.
How is it applied?
Packers are set along the crack line, the 400 ml cartridge is loaded into the Fastpack Power-Tool, and the two components self-mix through a built-in static mixer as the resin is injected at low pressure.
About MC-Bauchemie MC-Fastpack 2300 top
MC-Fastpack 2300 top belongs to MC-Bauchemie’s Fastpack range, a cartridge-and-power-tool platform that takes two-component injection resins out of drums and buckets and puts them into a format one technician can dose accurately from a scaffold or inside a manhole. Chemically it is the same low-viscosity, polyurethane-based elastomer resin sold in bulk as MC-Injekt 2300 top, repackaged as 8 x 400 ml two-chamber cartridges with a static mixer built in. It mixes 1:1 by volume, runs at roughly 55 mPa.s, and cures into a light-brown, rubber-like solid with close to 100% free elongation — which is the whole point of choosing an elastomer over a rigid crack-injection epoxy: it is meant for cracks that are still moving, not ones that have stopped.
For Indian sites that usually means monsoon-season basement seepage, hairline cracking in underground water tanks and STPs, and joint leakage in metro or utility tunnels — places where a structure rarely stays still and a hard epoxy fill would just open up again at the next thermal cycle or settlement event. DIBt approval for injection into soil and groundwater, plus KTW clearance for contact with drinking water, make it a defensible specification for water-retaining structures rather than a generic patch-up resin picked off a shelf. Space Arc Engineering stocks it and applies it as an authorised MC-Bauchemie distributor and applicator across Delhi NCR and pan-India, backed by the Fastpack Power-Tool and trained injection crews.
The technical insight
The figure worth reading twice on this data sheet is the glass transition temperature: -34.2°C. That number is what keeps the cured resin genuinely rubbery in cold conditions instead of turning glassy and brittle, and it’s a better proxy for real elastomeric performance than the elongation figures alone. Low viscosity (about 55 mPa.s) and low surface tension (34.65 mN/m) are what let the resin enter hairline cracks that a thicker structural epoxy would bridge over rather than penetrate — penetration, not just elasticity, is half of what makes this an elastomer worth specifying over a foam-forming grout. And because the cartridge system meters and mixes the resin 1:1 by volume through a static mixer right at the point of injection, there’s none of the ratio drift that creeps in from bucket hand-mixing on a small repair — which matters more for an elastomer than for a rigid resin, since an off-ratio mix tends to cure either too soft to hold a bond or too brittle to flex.
Where it is used
- Flexible, ductile-elastic sealing injection of live, hairline cracks in concrete and masonry under dry, damp and pressurised water-bearing conditions.
- Standsicherheitsrelevante (structural-safety-relevant) injection work executed to EN 1504-5, the DAfStb repair guideline and ZTV-ING requirements.
- Sealing injection inside potable-water tanks and reservoirs, where KTW drinking-water contact clearance is a hard requirement.
- Waterproofing masonry walls against penetrating and rising dampness.
- Sealing pipe and liner connections into manhole and shaft structures on sewer and wastewater infrastructure.
- Sealing injection of shaft ring joints, pipe penetrations and socket connections in below-ground utility structures.
- Cut-off injection into soil and groundwater around foundations, covered under the product’s DIBt general building approval.
Key advantages
- Very low viscosity (about 55 mPa.s) gets the resin into hairline cracks that a thicker resin would simply bridge over rather than penetrate.
- Stays flexible after cure — around 100% free elongation — so the seal moves with slab expansion and settlement instead of re-cracking.
- Cures fully even under continuous dynamic loading, so injection work need not wait for a structure to fall still first.
- Cartridge-and-Power-Tool dosing fixes the 1:1 mix ratio at the point of injection, removing the guesswork of hand-mixing small batches on site.
- Very low glass transition temperature (-34.2°C) keeps the cured seal genuinely elastic rather than glassy in cold conditions.
- CE-marked to EN 1504-5 and DIBt-approved for soil/groundwater injection, with KTW clearance for potable-water contact.
- Single-use cartridge format cuts wastage on small, scattered crack-repair jobs compared with opening a large bulk canister for one crack.
Limitations & considerations
- It is an elastomer, not a rigid structural resin — for force-transmitting, load-bearing crack repair, MC-Bauchemie’s epoxy injection range is the correct choice, not this product.
- Working time is short, around 10 minutes once mixed, which leaves little room for error and calls for a trained applicator with packer layout already planned.
- Application has to stop once component or substrate temperature falls below 5°C, which limits winter working in unheated basements or exposed structures.
- The 400 ml cartridge format suits crack-by-crack dosing; large, continuous voids or bulk injection programmes are more economical with the canister-packed MC-Injekt 2300 top.
- It is not designed to stop strongly flowing, pressurised water on its own — that needs a fast-reacting foaming grout ahead of it.
Selection & best practice
Treat this as an engineered injection, not a caulking job. Survey the crack pattern and plan packer spacing before drilling; a trial injection on one packer first is worthwhile before committing the full run. Set packers — MC-Hammer Packer LP 12 or MC-Surfacepacker LP are the ones MC-Bauchemie recommends for this resin — confirm component and substrate temperature is above 5°C, and load the cartridge into the Fastpack Power-Tool only once the crew is ready to inject, since working time runs out in roughly 10 minutes once mixing starts. For actively flowing water, knock the flow down first with a fast-reacting foaming grout, then follow with 2300 top for the permanent flexible seal — confirm the sequencing and packer spacing with your MC-Bauchemie technical contact before starting on a critical structure. Clean tools with MC-Verdünnung PU (or MC-Cleaner eco) within the working time; once the resin has reacted it can only be removed mechanically, never with water.

Industry use cases
Residential & Commercial Basements
Injecting hairline cracks in RCC basement retaining walls that seep during the monsoon, where the wall keeps moving with seasonal soil-moisture change rather than staying static.
Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Sealing joints and hairline cracks in underground potable-water tanks and STP structures, where KTW clearance and durable long-term flexibility both matter.
Metro & Tunnel Infrastructure
Flexible sealing of segment and construction joints in tunnel linings under ongoing minor movement and groundwater pressure.
Municipal Sewer Networks
Sealing manhole ring joints, pipe penetrations and socket connections, where pipe-to-structure movement would defeat a rigid grout.

How we position MC-Bauchemie MC-Fastpack 2300 top
MC-Fastpack 2300 top sits inside MC-Bauchemie’s own injection range alongside MC-Injekt 2300 top (the identical resin chemistry, packed in bulk canisters instead of cartridges for larger jobs), MC-Injekt 2133 and similar fast-foaming grouts for knocking down actively flowing water before the permanent seal goes in, and MC’s separate epoxy injection resins for cracks that need structural bonding rather than flexibility. For a specifier already committed to Fosroc’s line, or one who does not want to invest in the Fastpack cartridge-and-Power-Tool system, Nitofill UR63 is a genuine, comparable two-part PU injection resin — though Fosroc positions its cured resin as only “slightly flexible,” short of the near-100% free elongation MC-Fastpack 2300 top is built around, which matters on cracks under continuous real movement. Space Arc carries both the MC-Bauchemie and Fosroc injection lines and can help match the resin to the crack rather than defaulting to one brand.
Fosroc Nitofill UR63 — A specifier already standardised on Fosroc, or wanting a two-part solvent-free PU resin without committing to MC-Bauchemie’s cartridge-and-Power-Tool system, might choose Nitofill UR63 instead — though MC-Fastpack 2300 top’s near-100% free elongation makes it the more elastic choice for cracks under real, ongoing movement, where Nitofill UR63 is described by Fosroc as only ‘slightly flexible.’
