UltraTech Weather Pro Single Component
UltraTech’s single-dose liquid admixture that waterproofs concrete, plaster and mortar from the inside — mixed in at the drum, not brushed on afterwards.
What is it?
A ready-to-use, single-component integral waterproofing liquid — sold under UltraTech’s Weather Pro range as WP+200 — dosed directly into the gauging water for concrete, plaster or masonry mortar rather than applied as a surface coating.
Where is it used?
Foundation and plinth concrete, RCC roof slabs, brick/block masonry mortar, and internal or external plaster on residential, institutional and light-commercial sites across Delhi NCR and pan-India.
Why use it?
Its Water Block pore-blocking chemistry densifies the cured matrix, keeping water permeability within IS 2645 limits, lifting compressive strength by up to 15%, and cutting water demand 10-15% — with one liquid instead of managing two components.
How is it applied?
Stir 200 ml of WP+200 into the gauging water for every 50 kg bag of cement (never add it neat to a dry mix), mix for 2-3 minutes, then batch concrete, mortar or plaster exactly per the site’s normal mix design.
About UltraTech Weather Pro Single Component
Seepage and damp patches are among the most common complaints Space Arc fields from Delhi NCR homeowners and contractors, and more often than not the root cause traces back to concrete or plaster that was simply too permeable to begin with — not a waterproofing coat that failed years later. UltraTech Weather Pro WP+200 addresses that root cause directly. It is a single-component, reddish-brown liquid that gets stirred into the gauging water before batching, rather than brushed or sprayed on afterwards, so it becomes part of the concrete, plaster or mortar matrix itself. As the mix cures, its pore-blocking chemistry — UltraTech calls it Water Block Technology — breaks up the network of capillary channels that normally wick water through cement-based materials, bringing permeability within IS 2645 limits while the material is being made rather than fixing it afterwards.
For a Delhi NCR or pan-India site, that translates into a straightforward workflow: the mason measures 200 ml into the water drum for every 50 kg bag of cement, mixes as usual, and moves on — no second component to proportion, no adhesive to activate, no coating to schedule once the structure is up. That simplicity is exactly why Space Arc recommends it as the base layer for foundations, roof slabs, masonry mortar and plaster across most project types, then layers UltraTech’s Weather Pro Flex, Hi-Flex or Top-Shield systems on top wherever a surface will see standing water or direct monsoon exposure. Used this way — integral protection first, surface system second — WP+200 earns its place as the most widely specified item in the Weather Pro range, even though it rarely gets the attention the visible coatings do.
The technical insight
WP+200 works on a densification principle rather than a membrane principle, and that distinction matters when deciding where to use it. Its liquid chemistry reduces the amount of water needed for workable consistency — UltraTech’s own data shows a 10-15% cut in water demand — which tightens the water-cement ratio and, in turn, closes up the capillary pore structure that water normally travels through. That’s a different mechanism from Weather Pro Flex or Hi-Flex, which are two-component cementitious-polymer coatings forming a continuous elastomeric film on the surface, capable of bridging hairline cracks. WP+200 can’t bridge a crack because it works inside the material, not on top of it — which is precisely why UltraTech frames it as an integral waterproofing compound rather than a membrane, and why the “single component” description matters commercially: it’s the one product in this range dosed straight into the mix, as opposed to the multi-part coating systems applied after the structure is built.
Where it is used
- Foundation, footing and plinth concrete on sites with high water tables or seasonal waterlogging
- RCC roof slab and beam concreting, as the first line of defence beneath a surface membrane or coating
- Basement and retaining-wall concrete in Delhi NCR’s clay-heavy, monsoon-affected soils
- External plaster on boundary walls, parapets and facades exposed to direct rain
- Internal plaster in bathrooms, kitchens and utility areas prone to damp patches
- Brick and block masonry mortar for compound walls and load-bearing walls
- Water tank, sump and drain construction where any dampness is a hygiene or durability concern
- General site-mixed concrete and mortar on independent-house and villa projects not using RMC
Key advantages
- One liquid dosed at the mixer — no second component to weigh, no pot life to race against, and less scope for site-level dosing error than two-part coating systems
- Works inside the concrete or mortar matrix, so protection survives even where a surface coating gets scraped, wears out, or was never applied at all
- Technical parameters comply with IS 2645 and IS 9103, giving site engineers a documented standard to specify and test against
- Compressive strength gain of up to 15% alongside the waterproofing benefit — a genuine two-for-one on the batching sheet
- Cuts water demand by 10-15%, which tightens the water-cement ratio and improves workability without adding extra water
- Same product carries across concrete, mortar and plaster, so one drum on site covers the whole superstructure package
- Backed by UltraTech’s Building Products division lab data and a nationwide dealer network, so replacement stock is rarely far away
- Space Arc supervises on-site dosing for contractor clients, which is where most integral-admixture underperformance actually originates
Limitations & considerations
- It is an admixture, not a membrane — it will not bridge a structural crack or seal a construction/expansion joint on its own
- UltraTech’s own literature recommends pairing WP+200 with Flex, Hi-Flex or Top-Shield for double protection on roofs and wet-area floors; treating it as a complete standalone roof waterproofing system is a common and costly misunderstanding
- Performance depends entirely on getting the 200 ml/50 kg dosage right at the mixer — unsupervised labour under- or over-dosing is the biggest reason sites don’t see the promised numbers
- The reddish-brown liquid can very slightly tint pale or white plaster and precast finishes — worth a trial patch on exposed light-coloured work
- As a batch-dosed liquid it needs a site or captive mixer; it isn’t something you can add to a ready-mix concrete order without the RMC plant’s prior sign-off
- No published crack-bridging width or UV-resistance figures, because — unlike Flex or Hi-Flex — that was never this product’s job
Selection & best practice
Always add WP+200 to the gauging water first, then use that water to mix the concrete, mortar or plaster — never pour it directly onto dry cement. Hold the dosage at 200 ml per 50 kg bag; overdosing can retard setting without adding proportional benefit. On roofs, bathroom floors and other areas that see standing water, treat WP+200 as the base layer and follow up with a Weather Pro Flex, Hi-Flex or Top-Shield surface system rather than relying on it alone. Water-cure as per normal good practice, and keep opened drums sealed and out of direct sun to protect the stated 24-month shelf life.

How we position UltraTech Weather Pro Single Component
Within UltraTech’s own Weather Pro family, WP+200 is the entry point — the integral, mixed-in liquid layer that Space Arc typically specifies first, before layering on Weather Pro Flex or Hi-Flex (two-component cementitious-polymer coatings for wet-area floors and walls) or Weather Pro Top-Shield and Top-Shield EZY (roof coatings with heat-reflective benefits) wherever a surface is directly exposed to ponding or driving rain. For sites that also need a damp-proof course at the foundation, UltraTech’s BituPro bitumen emulsion covers that separately. Where a project specification calls for a non-UltraTech admixture, or where a consultant has standardised on Fosroc systems, Space Arc also supplies and doses Fosroc’s Conplast WL — a comparable lignosulphonate-based integral waterproofing admixture with its own IS 2645:2003-tested permeability data. The choice between the two usually comes down to what’s already written into the project’s material specification rather than any large performance gap.
Fosroc Conplast WL — Specifiers who have already standardised their BOQ on Fosroc admixtures, or who need documented permeability data against the IS 2645:2003 benchmark from a Fosroc-branded product, often default to Conplast WL instead of switching admixture brands mid-project.
