UltraTech Tilefixo Style 2K Epoxy Grout
A three-part epoxy grout for tile and stone joints that shrugs off stains, acids and standing water — built for kitchens, pools and food-handling floors.
What is it?
A 2K-branded epoxy tile joint grout, physically supplied as three parts — resin, hardener and filler — for 2-14 mm joints on ceramic, vitrified, glass mosaic, metal, stone and terrazzo tile.
Where is it used?
Kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools, food-processing floors, hospitals, labs, cafeterias, terraces and any wet or chemically exposed tiled surface, indoors or under cover outdoors.
Why use it?
Cured joints resist staining from turmeric, tea, wine, oils and most household acids and alkalis, stay crack-free and non-shrink, and carry food-grade, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
How is it applied?
Part A resin and Part B hardener are mixed first, then Part C filler powder is folded in for three to four minutes and pressed into clean, dry joints within the 45-minute pot life.
About UltraTech Tilefixo Style 2K Epoxy Grout
UltraTech Tilefixo Style is UltraTech’s epoxy grout for tile and stone joints, sold under the brand’s 2K naming for two-part epoxy chemistry, though it ships as three tins: Part A colour resin, Part B hardener and Part C filler powder, combined in a fixed 200 g : 76 g : 724 g ratio per kilogram pack. Resin and hardener are blended first, then the filler is worked in for three to four minutes until the mix is lump-free and uniform in colour. From there the applicator has roughly 45 minutes at 27°C to pack it into joints 2-14 mm wide before it starts to set.
What separates this from a cement-based joint filler shows up after cure. UltraTech’s IS-standard testing puts 7-day compressive strength at 79.8 N/mm² and tensile strength at 13.3 N/mm², shrinkage at just 0.06%, and bond strength to quarry tile at 7.18 N/mm² — figures a sand-cement grout can’t approach. ISO/EN testing adds water absorption of 0.03 g and flexural strength of 32.4 N/mm². In practice that’s a joint that resists cracking under thermal movement, doesn’t absorb the grease and pigment that discolour ordinary grout, and takes regular foot traffic in 24 hours and heavy traffic in 72.
Space Arc supplies and applies it across Delhi NCR for kitchens, wet bathrooms, pool decks, cafeteria and hospital floors — anywhere staining, chemical splash or hygiene certification matter more than cost per square metre. Sold in 1 kg and 5 kg packs, eight designer shades, 12-month shelf life stored cool and dry.
The technical insight
The number worth flagging for specifiers is the 45-minute pot life at 27°C — NCR summer site temperatures will shorten that window, so crews should mix only what one hand can place and initially clean within about 20 minutes, not what’s convenient to prepare in bulk. Over-mixing to get ahead is UltraTech’s own flagged cause of premature stiffening and wasted material. The chemical-resistance chart also matters before specifying this on an industrial or lab floor: it holds up against sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid, sugars, oils, bleach and most kitchen and toilet-cleaning chemicals, but is not resistant to concentrated nitric acid, 80% phosphoric acid, 100% acetic acid or 10% potassium permanganate — so a lab wash area or a battery-room floor needs a chemical check against that list, not an assumption that epoxy grout resists everything.
Where it is used
- Ceramic, vitrified and glass mosaic tile joints, floors and walls
- Granite, marble and engineered-stone (agglomerate) joints
- Precast terrazzo tile joints
- Wet areas: bathrooms, kitchens, swimming pools, saunas, water bodies
- Food-processing floors, cafeterias and commercial kitchens
- Hospitals and laboratories with hygiene and chemical exposure
- Residential, commercial and institutional floors and walls, internal and covered external areas
Key advantages
- Stain-free against tea, turmeric, wine, coffee, ketchup, hair dye and most household chemicals per the 28-item resistance chart
- Food-grade certified with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties
- Very low shrinkage — 0.06% at 7 days — versus ordinary cement grout
- High compressive strength (79.8 N/mm²) and tensile strength (13.3 N/mm²)
- Waterproof and crack-free once cured, with good flexural properties
- Traffic-ready fast — 24 hours for regular foot traffic, 72 hours for heavy traffic
- Eight designer shades for a uniform, matched finish
Limitations & considerations
- Short 45-minute pot life demands disciplined, small-batch mixing, especially in NCR summer heat
- Not resistant to concentrated nitric acid, high-strength phosphoric or acetic acid, or potassium permanganate
- Costs and skill requirement are higher than cement-based grout; drill-mixing and trained crews are recommended
- Must be applied on completely dry, adhesive-free joints, 24 hours after tile fixing — not on damp or freshly fixed tile
- Not for use in direct, prolonged sunlight or extreme temperature during application
Selection & best practice
Start grouting only 24 hours after tile fixing, with joints dry and free of adhesive residue — wash down acid-cleaned tiles first. Mix Part A and B to a fully blended liquid before adding Part C, run a full 3-4 minutes, and start the 45-minute clock from when mixing begins, not when application starts. Mask tile faces along the joint on unglazed, matt-glaze or textured tiles to stop staining. Do the first clean with a damp, rough-textured sponge around 20 minutes in, before it skins over, then follow with a detergent wash within 24 hours to lift any haze. Patch-test colour transfer on the actual tile batch before full-scale application, and keep the finished joint out of rain and foot traffic for the first 24 hours.

Industry use cases
Residential kitchens & bathrooms
Vitrified and ceramic tile joints that need to resist turmeric, oil and daily detergent use without staining or crumbling.
Hospitality & food service
Commercial kitchen and cafeteria floors where food-grade, anti-bacterial joint filling is a hygiene requirement, not a preference.
Healthcare & laboratories
Hospital floors and lab wet-areas needing a hard, chemical-resistant joint — checked against the specific reagents in use, not assumed universally resistant.
Pools, spas & wet leisure
Swimming pool decks, saunas and water-body surrounds where the joint sits in near-permanent water contact.
Natural stone & terrazzo work
Granite, marble, engineered-stone and precast terrazzo joints where staining of a light-coloured stone is the main risk to manage.

How we position UltraTech Tilefixo Style 2K Epoxy Grout
Within Space Arc’s tile-fixing range, Tilefixo Style sits above standard cement-based grout for anywhere staining, chemical splash or food-hygiene rules make a porous joint a liability — a wet kitchen, a hospital corridor, a pool deck — rather than routine dry-area residential flooring, where cementitious grout is faster and cheaper to lay. Against a simple two-part epoxy grout, its three-part resin/hardener/filler system asks more discipline of the applicator — a genuine 3-4 minute mix and a hard 45-minute clock — so it rewards a trained crew and site conditions cool enough to hold that pot life.
