Space Arc Engineering, an Authorized Project Distributor for STP Limited, supplies ShaliPrime® PU MIO Zn — a moisture-cured polyurethane primer from STP Limited filled with both micaceous iron oxide (MIO) and zinc — offering superior anti-corrosion bonding for steel in aggressive environments. Combines the lamellar MIO barrier with sacrificial zinc cathodic protection in a single primer coat.

FAQs
Why include both MIO and zinc in one primer?
MIO provides barrier protection; zinc provides cathodic (sacrificial) protection. Together they provide multi-mechanism corrosion protection superior to either alone.
Is surface blast cleaning required?
For zinc cathodic protection, good surface cleanliness (minimum Sa 2) is important. Higher blast grades give better zinc contact with steel.
