Master Builders Solutions MasterTop 1202
Three-component, solvent-free, high-build epoxy coating that turns industrial concrete floors into a pore-free, chemical-resistant, easy-clean surface — supplied and applied across India by Space Arc Engineering.
What is it?
A three-component, solvent-free, high-build epoxy resin coating from Master Builders Solutions, applied in two coats to build a seamless protective film of roughly 500 microns on concrete floors.
Where is it used?
Engineering workshops, manufacturing and assembly bays, warehouses, aviation maintenance hangars, laboratories, covered parking and chemical handling zones on sound concrete substrates.
Why use it?
It stops concrete dusting, resists abrasion and intermittent chemical spillage, and gives a pore-free surface that cleans fast — extending slab life at a sensible cost per square metre.
How is it applied?
Base, hardener and pigment are blended for one to two minutes, then two coats are applied at right angles to each other on prepared concrete; the floor accepts light traffic after 48 hours at 25 °C.
About Master Builders Solutions MasterTop 1202
MasterTop 1202 is a three-component, solvent-free, high-build epoxy resin coating from Master Builders Solutions, developed to protect industrial concrete floors that see constant foot, trolley and light vehicular movement. Each 4 kg unit arrives as a factory-batched set — 3.17 kg base resin, 0.480 kg hardener and a 0.350 kg colour pigment pack — blended on site and laid in two coats to a combined dry film of around 500 microns. That is several times the thickness of a conventional floor paint, which is precisely why it delivers genuine wear protection rather than a cosmetic colour wash.
The problem it solves is familiar on Indian shop floors: bare concrete dusts under traffic, and oil, diesel or chemical spills soak straight into the slab. A MasterTop 1202 system converts that surface into a non-dusting, liquid-tight, easily cleaned finish without major downtime or thick screed work. Space Arc Engineering stocks and supplies MasterTop 1202 pan-India as an authorised distributor, and applies it through trained crews on projects across Delhi NCR and beyond.
The technical insight
Because the formulation carries no solvent, virtually all of the wet film converts to cured film — nothing evaporates off. The coating therefore builds real thickness in just two coats and avoids the pinholing that solvent flash-off causes in thin-film paints. On mixing, the epoxy base and hardener crosslink into a dense three-dimensional polymer matrix that locks onto the prepared concrete and blocks liquid ingress; applying the second coat at right angles to the first closes any residual pinholes, which is what produces the pore-free, hygienic surface. The separately measured pigment pack, blended in at mixing, keeps colour consistent from batch to batch across large floors.
Where it is used
- Engineering workshops and machine shops
- Manufacturing and assembly line floors
- Warehousing and distribution centres
- Aviation maintenance and assembly hangars
- Laboratories and quality-control areas
- Covered parking decks and vehicle service bays
- Chemical handling and drum storage zones
Key advantages
- Solvent-free, non-flammable and low odour — safe to apply in enclosed, poorly ventilated plant areas
- High-build film of about 500 microns in only two coats, well beyond ordinary floor paints
- Pore-free, seamless finish that will not dust and cleans quickly with routine housekeeping
- Resists intermittent spillage of dilute acids, alkalis, diesel, oils and aviation hydraulic fluids
- Good wear and abrasion resistance under trolley and foot traffic
- Factory-batched three-pack pigment system gives repeatable, uniform colour across large areas
- Typically needs no primer on sound, dense concrete, saving a full site operation
Limitations & considerations
- It is a coating, not a screed — it follows the existing floor profile and will not correct undulations or repair damaged slabs
- Chemical resistance covers intermittent spillage only, not continuous immersion or ponded exposure
- Application window is limited to 15–35 °C substrate and 15–30 °C material temperature, which needs planning in peak summer or winter
- Like all standard epoxies it will yellow and chalk under sustained UV, so it is unsuitable for exposed external areas
- Requires 48 hours at 25 °C before even light traffic, so a shutdown window must be scheduled
Selection & best practice
Success is decided at the substrate. Concrete must be sound, dry and free of dust, laitance, grease, old paint and curing compounds — mechanical preparation followed by thorough vacuuming is the dependable route. Verify temperatures before opening packs: substrate between 15–35 °C and material between 15–30 °C; in North Indian summers this usually means coating in the early morning. Blend the base, hardener and pigment for one to two minutes until fully uniform, and always mix complete packs — never proportion components by eye. Prime porous or highly absorbent slabs with a compatible MasterTop epoxy primer to prevent pinholing. Apply the first coat, allow it to firm up, then lay the second coat at right angles to the first for a closed, even film. Keep all traffic off the floor for 48 hours at 25 °C.

Industry use cases
Manufacturing & Engineering
Machine shops and assembly bays get a non-dusting, oil-resistant floor that keeps swarf and coolant spills on the surface where they can be cleaned, not absorbed into the slab.
Warehousing & Logistics
Distribution centres use it to eliminate concrete dust that contaminates stored goods and to brighten aisles with a uniform, light-reflective coloured finish.
Aviation & MRO
Hangar floors benefit from its verified resistance to Skydrol-type hydraulic fluids and fuels — a spill wipes off instead of staining the apron slab.
Laboratories & Pharma Support Areas
The pore-free, seamless film gives QC labs and utility corridors a hygienic surface that stands up to routine chemical handling and frequent washing.
Automotive Workshops & Covered Parking
Service bays and basement parking decks gain a hard-wearing surface that shrugs off diesel, engine oil and tyre traffic while staying easy to squeegee clean.

How we position Master Builders Solutions MasterTop 1202
MasterTop 1202 is the workhorse entry point of the MasterTop flooring range — the right choice when a sound slab needs durable, chemical-resistant protection at modest film thickness. Where the floor must also be re-levelled or will carry heavier duty, step up to the self-smoothing epoxy MasterTop 1210; for wet-process areas with thermal shock, such as dairies and commercial kitchens, the polyurethane-based MasterTop 1324 family is the better tool. Pre-coating slab repairs pair naturally with MasterEmaco mortars. Space Arc also supplies comparable systems from Fosroc (Nitoflor) and Sika (Sikafloor) where a project specification demands them — we match the system to the exposure, not the other way around.
