Product Overview

Sika® FerroGard®-950 IN is a two-component, low-solvent, zinc-rich epoxy primer and protective coating for steel. Acting as a cold galvanizing compound, its high zinc loading provides sacrificial galvanic protection comparable to hot-dip galvanizing, defending the substrate even where the film is locally damaged. It can be used as a single-coat finish on atmospherically exposed steel, as a primer within multi-coat paint systems, on steelwork subject to mechanical wear, and as a protective coat on reinforcement bars in concrete. It also repairs damaged galvanized surfaces. Steel fabricators, repair contractors and structural engineers value its strong adhesion, fast drying and weathering resistance. Space Arc Engineering, an authorized Sika distributor in India, supplies it in pre-batched 2 kg units with technical support. It mixes 94:6 by weight and develops tensile adhesion of at least 2.0 N/mm².
