UltraTech PowerGrout NS2

Ready-to-mix, non-shrink, non-expanding precision grout for heavy machinery foundations

Product Overview

UltraTech PowerGrout NS2 is a single-component, cement-based, non-shrink and non-expanding precision grout blended with engineered polymers, performance additives and graded fillers. Available in Normal and Flowable variants, it flows freely under base plates and into confined cavities while developing high early and ultimate compressive strength of up to 80 MPa for dependable load transfer. Its self-compacting action eliminates mechanical vibration, while a bleed-free, dimensionally stable set ensures full contact between the foundation and the supported equipment. Part of the UltraTech Building Products range and supplied through Space Arc Engineering, an Authorized Project Distributor in India, NS2 is ideal for grouting heavy rotating machinery, turbines, compressors and structural base plates where shrinkage-free, vibration-resistant bedding is critical to long-term performance.

Features & Benefits

  • Non-shrink, non-expanding formulation maintains full bearing contact under base plates
  • Reaches high compressive strength of up to 80 MPa for heavy dynamic loads
  • Self-compacting flow fills congested cavities without mechanical vibration
  • Bleed-free mix with consistent, lump-free consistency for a uniform finish
  • Available in Normal and Flowable grades to suit clearance and placement needs
  • Economical on large pours when extended with approved graded coarse aggregate

Frequently Asked Questions

What is UltraTech PowerGrout NS2 used for?

It is a non-shrink, non-expanding precision grout used to bed heavy machinery base plates, turbines, compressors and structural columns, and to anchor precast elements, micropiles and fasteners where high strength and full contact are essential.

What compressive strength does PowerGrout NS2 achieve?

NS2 develops high early strength and an ultimate compressive strength of up to 80 MPa. For exact age-wise values for the Normal and Flowable grades, refer to the product TDS.

How much water should I add to PowerGrout NS2?

Approximately 14-15% water by weight of powder is recommended. Mix to a lump-free consistency, rest for about two minutes, then remix; avoid adding extra water as it reduces strength.

What is the difference between the Normal and Flowable variants?

The Flowable grade offers higher fluidity for self-levelling placement under tight base plates, while the Normal grade is suited to thicker sections and trowel/pour applications.
