Sika Sikafloor-330
A two-component, solvent-free polyurethane resin that trowels out to a seamless, permanently elastic comfort floor — crack-bridging, sound-dampening and low-VOC, built for interiors where people spend their day.
What is it?
A two-part, solvent-free elastic polyurethane self-smoothing resin that forms a seamless comfort floor, typically laid at around 2 mm as the wearing course of the Sika ComfortFloor system.
Where is it used?
Interior floors in hospitals, schools, museums, showrooms, entrance halls, open-plan offices and premium residences where underfoot comfort, quiet and hygiene matter.
Why use it?
It stays permanently elastic, so it bridges fine substrate cracks and softens footfall noise while giving a jointless, easy-clean, low-VOC finish.
How is it applied?
Poured onto a primed, dry substrate, spread with a pin leveller to thickness, spike-rolled in two directions to release air, then sealed with a Sikafloor top seal once tack-free.
About Sika Sikafloor-330
Sikafloor-330 is the elastic wearing course at the heart of Sika’s ComfortFloor family — a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane resin that self-levels into a smooth, jointless surface. Unlike a rigid epoxy screed, it cures to a soft, resilient film (around Shore A 80) that flexes with the building rather than fighting it. That flexibility is the whole point: fine shrinkage and settlement cracks in the concrete below are bridged instead of telegraphed to the surface, and footsteps land on a floor that gives slightly underfoot rather than a hard slab. For architects and facility managers, the result is a floor that reads as one continuous, hygienic plane with no grout lines or seams to trap dirt.
The product is engineered for the kind of interiors where people, not forklifts, are the main traffic. Hospitals and clinics value the seamless, wipe-clean surface; schools, museums and offices value the quieter acoustics and the comfort of walking or standing on it all day. Because it is solvent-free and certified for very low VOC emissions, it suits occupied and sensitive environments — cleanrooms, wards, galleries — where indoor air quality and rapid re-occupation are genuine constraints. Space Arc Engineering supplies and applies Sikafloor-330 as a complete ComfortFloor build-up across Delhi NCR and pan-India, matching the primer, resin and seal coat to the substrate and the room’s service demands.
The technical insight
The behaviour that sets Sikafloor-330 apart comes from its polyurethane chemistry. When Part A and Part B are mixed at 79:21 by weight, the two components react to build long, flexible polymer chains rather than the tightly cross-linked, brittle network of a typical epoxy. Those chains give the cured floor its elastomeric character — a Shore A hardness near 80 with a tensile strength above 8.0 N/mm² and tear strength around 25 N/mm — so it can stretch locally over a moving crack and return, instead of fracturing. This is what “permanently elastic, crack-bridging” means in practice: the film accommodates small differential movements in the slab across its service life. The same soft matrix absorbs and dissipates impact energy from footfall, which is why the floor measurably dampens sound compared with a bare or tiled slab. Self-smoothing flow is a rheology property — the freshly mixed resin is fluid enough to level itself to an even film, then the spike roller releases entrained air before the 12–21 minute pot life closes the working window and the material sets.
Where it is used
- Hospital wards, corridors and clinical areas needing a seamless, hygienic, easy-clean floor
- Schools, universities and libraries where quieter acoustics improve the environment
- Museums and galleries requiring a comfortable, low-dust, elegant finish underfoot
- Open-plan offices, lobbies and entrance halls with heavy daytime foot traffic
- Retail showrooms and display areas wanting a jointless, colour-matched surface
- Premium residential interiors seeking a soft, warm, seamless floor
- Cleanrooms and controlled environments where low VOC and hygiene are specified
- Any interior slab with fine hairline cracking that must be bridged rather than shown
Key advantages
- Permanently elastic, so it bridges fine substrate cracks instead of mirroring them
- Self-smoothing flow gives a seamless, joint-free surface with no dirt-trapping lines
- Noticeably dampens footfall sound for quieter interiors
- Solvent-free with very low VOC emissions — suited to occupied and sensitive spaces
- Comfortable and slightly resilient underfoot for people who stand or walk all day
- Hygienic and low-maintenance; wipes clean with routine cleaning
- Available in a wide range of standard and custom colours for design freedom
- Good mechanical resistance for pedestrian and light-traffic interiors
Limitations & considerations
- Interior use only — not formulated for exposed exterior floors or UV-exposed areas
- Built for pedestrian and light traffic, not heavy forklift or point-load industrial duty
- Short 12–21 minute pot life demands trained applicators and disciplined batching
- Requires a dry substrate (moisture below 4% pbw) and a primer, adding surface-prep time
- Application window is narrow: +15°C to +30°C and up to 80% relative humidity
- Needs a Sikafloor seal coat to complete the system and reach final performance
Selection & best practice
Success with Sikafloor-330 is decided before the resin is poured. Prepare the concrete by grinding or shot-blasting to a sound, open profile, and confirm substrate moisture is below 4% pbw and the surface temperature stays at least 3°C above the dew point to avoid condensation or blooming. Prime with the specified Sikafloor primer to seal the substrate and prevent pinholing. Mix Part A and Part B at 79:21 by weight with a slow-speed paddle until fully homogeneous — a poorly mixed batch will not cure uniformly. Work strictly inside +15°C to +30°C and below 80% relative humidity, and mix only what the team can lay within the 12–21 minute pot life. Pour and spread with a pin (notched) leveller to the target thickness (about 2 mm), then spike-roll immediately in two directions at right angles to release air and even the film. Once the surface is tack-free, apply the Sikafloor seal coat to complete the ComfortFloor system, and protect the fresh floor from foot traffic and water until it has cured.

How we position Sika Sikafloor-330
Sikafloor-330 sits in the comfort-floor niche of Sika’s flooring range, where elasticity and acoustics matter more than raw industrial toughness. It is not a standalone product but the elastic core of the Sika ComfortFloor and ComfortFloor Pro build-ups, laid over a Sika primer and finished with a Sikafloor seal coat — Space Arc supplies the full system rather than a single tin. Where a project instead needs a hard, chemical-resistant floor for industrial or high-traffic duty, the honest recommendation is a rigid self-smoothing epoxy such as Sikafloor’s industrial epoxy line, or Fosroc’s Nitoflor EPU3000/EPU2000 epoxy-PU toppings — these are dust-free and seamless but rigid, so they suit factories and workshops rather than the soft, quiet, people-first interiors Sikafloor-330 is made for. For heavy-duty wet or thermal-shock areas, a PU-cement screed (Fosroc Nitoflor Floorcrete PU or the equivalent Sikafloor PU-cement system) is the better fit. Space Arc, as an authorised distributor and applicator across Delhi NCR and pan-India, can specify whichever of these matches the room’s real service demands.
