Master Builders Solutions Ucrete IF
Iron-aggregate-armoured heavy-duty polyurethane floor for the most punishing impact and abrasion zones in Indian industry — waste transfer, heavy engineering and metal processing.
What is it?
A heavy-duty polyurethane hybrid floor system from Master Builders Solutions, filled with specially treated malleable cast-iron aggregate and laid at a minimum 9 mm build.
Where is it used?
Waste transfer stations, heavy engineering workshops, loading docks, storage bunkers, under mixing heads and anywhere steel-wheeled or tracked traffic destroys ordinary floors.
Why use it?
The iron-armoured wearing surface takes severe impact and abrasion that would crack epoxies or wear through concrete, with -40°C to +120°C service and steam cleanability.
How is it applied?
Installed by trained specialist applicators in a single trowel-applied step over prepared concrete — even 7-day-old slabs — with foot traffic in 8 hours and vehicles in 24 at 23°C.
About Master Builders Solutions Ucrete IF
Ucrete IF sits at the extreme end of the Ucrete industrial flooring range from Master Builders Solutions. Where standard polyurethane screeds rely on mineral aggregates, Ucrete IF is filled with specially treated malleable cast-iron aggregate, producing a dense, impervious wearing course built for the harshest duty an industrial floor can see — tipping halls at waste transfer stations, fabrication bays where plate steel is dragged and dropped, and process areas trafficked by steel-wheeled racks straight out of ovens and autoclaves. Laid at a minimum 9 mm thickness, it delivers 55–60 MPa compressive strength with zero water absorption, and the Ucrete track record runs past four decades of floors still in service worldwide.
For Indian plants, the practical wins are speed and tolerance. Ucrete IF goes down over 7-day-old concrete or 2-day-old polymer screeds without special damp-proofing primers, so new builds and monsoon-season refurbishments are not held hostage to slab drying times. Return to service is 8 hours for foot traffic and 24 hours for vehicles at 23°C — a shutdown window most maintenance teams can actually get. Space Arc Engineering supplies and coordinates trained-applicator installation across Delhi NCR and pan-India.
The technical insight
Ucrete chemistry is a polyurethane-cement hybrid: the resin cures into a tough matrix with high mechanical strength but a deliberately low elastic modulus (3,350 MPa). That combination is why Ucrete floors dent rather than star-crack under impact — brittle failure modes that plague rigid epoxy screeds are essentially unknown with this system. The iron armouring adds a second mechanism: under sustained heavy wear the treated cast-iron particles work-harden and anneal at the surface, so the floor’s abrasion resistance actually consolidates in its hardest-worked zones (ASTM C779 Procedure A wear of just 0.45 mm in 60 minutes). Because the cured system’s coefficient of thermal expansion is close to concrete’s, thermal cycling from -40°C cold stores to +120°C spillage and steam cleaning does not shear the bond line — adhesion testing to BS 6319-4 fails the concrete, not the interface.
Where it is used
- Tipping floors and push-walls aprons at waste transfer and recycling stations
- Heavy engineering and fabrication workshops with dragged steel and dropped tooling
- Loading docks and goods-handling bays under forklift and steel-wheel traffic
- Transition strips between concrete slabs and doorway thresholds in heavy plants
- Under mixers, granulators and crushers where vibration and impact concentrate
- Storage bunkers for aggregates, scrap, castings and raw material
- Heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance facilities
- Process floors trafficked by hot steel racks and bins from ovens or autoclaves
Key advantages
- Malleable cast-iron aggregate gives abrasion and impact resistance beyond any natural-aggregate screed
- Dents under extreme impact instead of cracking or disbonding — floor integrity survives abuse
- Full service range of -40°C to +120°C; withstands hot spillage and routine steam cleaning
- Zero water absorption — an impervious, hygienic wearing surface
- Installs over 7-day-old concrete or high-moisture sound slabs without special primers
- Back in service fast: foot traffic in 8 hours, vehicular traffic in 24 hours at 23°C
- Resists organic and dilute mineral acids, alkalis to 50% caustic, oils, fuels and many solvents
- HACCP-approved flooring pedigree with Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold low-emission certification
Limitations & considerations
- Installation is restricted to trained specialist applicators — this is not a contractor self-apply product
- Strong concentrated mineral acids and oxidising agents can corrode the exposed iron aggregate over time
- UV exposure yellows the resin, most visibly in lighter shades — a cosmetic effect in daylight-flooded bays
- Minimum 9 mm build means higher material weight per square metre and level/threshold detailing at edges
- Utility colour palette (grey, cream, yellow, green, red tones) — a functional finish, not a decorative one
- Substrate must be sound with at least 1.5 MPa tensile strength; weak screeds need repair first
Selection & best practice
Get the substrate right before anything else: mechanically prepare (captive shot-blast or scarify) to a clean, laitance-free surface with minimum 1.5 MPa pull-off strength, and cut anchor grooves at all free edges, drains and joints so the 9 mm body is mechanically keyed. Ucrete IF tolerates residual slab moisture, but a functioning damp-proof membrane must exist below ground-bearing slabs — do not add an epoxy surface DPM, which offers no benefit under Ucrete. Condition all components at 15–25°C before mixing (site storage between 5°C and 30°C, liquids protected from frost), mix full packs only, and lay wet-on-wet with trained crews to keep day-joints out of trafficked zones. In most cases no scratchcoat or primer is needed, so plan the pour as a single-step application. Respect the cure clock at actual slab temperature — cold Indian winter-night slabs cure slower than the 23°C datasheet figures — and commission steam-cleaning regimes only after full cure.

Industry use cases
Waste Management & Recycling
Tipping halls and sorting floors where grab cranes, dozer blades and abrasive municipal waste grind ordinary concrete away — the iron-armoured surface is the industry’s default answer.
Heavy Engineering & Fabrication
Machine shops and structural steel bays where plate is skidded, jigs are dropped and tracked equipment turns; the floor dents locally instead of cracking through.
Metals, Foundries & Forging
Areas trafficked by hot steel-wheeled racks and bins straight from furnaces, ovens and autoclaves, with 120°C spillage tolerance and thermal-cycling stability.
Warehousing & Logistics
Loading docks, dock levellers and transition strips taking continuous steel-castor and forklift traffic — the classic first failure points of a warehouse slab.
Cold Chain & Process Plants
Blast freezers and process floors cycling between -40°C service and hot-water or steam wash-downs, where zero absorption keeps the floor hygienic.

How we position Master Builders Solutions Ucrete IF
Ucrete IF is the answer when the question is raw mechanical abuse. If your area is heavy-duty but not iron-armour territory, Ucrete UD200 gives the same PU-hybrid chemistry with textured slip resistance for wet food and process plants, while Ucrete MF provides a smoother, medium-heavy self-levelling finish — both from the same Master Builders Solutions family, so chemistry and warranties stay consistent across zones. Pair the floor with MasterTop screeds for adjacent light-duty areas and MasterEmaco repair mortars where the substrate needs rebuilding before flooring. For clients standardised on other houses, Space Arc also supplies comparable heavy-duty PU screed systems from Sika (Sikafloor PurCem range) and Fosroc Nitoflor, and we will recommend honestly which system fits your traffic, chemistry and shutdown window rather than force one brand.
