Master Builders Solutions Ucrete UD200 SR (Master Builders Solutions)
A trowel-laid polyurethane screed engineered to keep wet, greasy production floors safe underfoot and running through thermal shock.
What is it?
Ucrete UD200 SR is a heavy-duty polyurethane concrete screed, laid 6-12 mm thick and finished with a deliberately coarse, slip-resistant texture, so it behaves less like a coating and more like a purpose-built structural floor topping.
Where is it used?
It goes down in dairies, breweries, meat and seafood processing halls, cold stores, pharmaceutical plants, and any commercial kitchen or wash-down area where the floor stays wet, greasy or hot for most of the shift.
Why use it?
Ordinary epoxy coatings blister and delaminate under steam cleaning and thermal cycling; this screed shares the concrete’s rate of expansion, shrugs off hot-water and caustic wash-downs, and its textured finish gives workers grip even when the surface is running with water or fat.
How is it applied?
Trained applicators shot-blast or diamond-grind the substrate, prime it, then hand-trowel a pre-weighed resin, hardener and aggregate kit to the required thickness, working the surface to a consistent non-slip profile before it cures.
About Master Builders Solutions Ucrete UD200 SR (Master Builders Solutions)
Ucrete UD200 SR sits inside Master Builders Solutions’ Ucrete range of heavy-duty polyurethane concrete floors, and it is the roughened, slip-resistant sibling of the standard UD200 screed. Where a resin coating simply sits on top of concrete, this is a full 6-12 mm build-up in its own right — a dense, monolithic layer trowelled to grade like a screed rather than rolled on like paint. The “SR” in the name marks the coarser R11/R13-style texture cut into the surface while it’s still workable, giving reliable footing on floors that see standing water, fat, oil or condensate every day.
Space Arc Engineering supplies and installs UD200 SR as an authorised Master Builders Solutions distributor and applicator across Delhi NCR and pan-India. Because the system depends on correct substrate preparation and mixing discipline, we run it as a coordinated build — profiling, priming, screed laying and coving at wall junctions — rather than selling loose bags and leaving workmanship to chance. That matters most in HACCP-audited food, dairy and pharmaceutical plants, where the floor has to pass a hygiene inspection as well as carry daily traffic.
The technical insight
The screed’s performance comes from combining a reactive polyurethane binder with a graded mineral aggregate and a cementitious phase in one hybrid matrix. That blend gives it a coefficient of thermal expansion close to the concrete slab underneath, so a hot CIP wash or a blast-freezer cycle moves the screed in step with the substrate instead of against it — the mismatch that cracks and delaminates thinner epoxy coatings over time. The cured matrix is also dense and close to non-porous, so it resists fats, sugars and organic acids and leaves little for bacteria to colonise. At full 12 mm thickness the floor can take occasional spills up to roughly 150°C; thinned to 6 mm for lighter-duty areas, continuous service tops out nearer 80°C.
Where it is used
- Wet-process and CIP wash-down floors in dairies and beverage bottling lines
- Meat, poultry and seafood processing and packing halls
- Cold stores, chiller rooms and blast-freezer aprons with freeze-thaw cycling
- Pharmaceutical and fine-chemical production floors
- Commercial and institutional kitchens, cook lines and dishwash areas
- Industrial laundries and other steam or hot-water cleaned spaces
- Production areas exposed to oils, fats, sugars or organic acids
- Drainage channels, ramps and gully surrounds needing extra grip
Key advantages
- R11/R13-class textured finish keeps footing safe on permanently wet or greasy floors
- Matched thermal expansion means it tolerates steam cleaning and thermal shock without debonding
- Dense, near-zero-porosity matrix resists fats, oils and organic acids and stays taint-free for food-contact areas
- Around 55 N/mm² compressive strength handles forklift traffic, pallet trucks and impact loads
- Trafficable in under 24 hours, or about 4 hours with the accelerated system, cutting shutdown time
- Seamless, joint-free surface with no grout lines for bacteria or grime to collect in
- Supplied as a pre-weighed kit, which keeps the resin-to-aggregate ratio consistent across a large pour
- Backed by Space Arc’s installed-system approach, so primer, screed and coving are specified and applied together
Limitations & considerations
- The textured surface is harder to scrub clean than a smooth coating, so cleaning regimes need adjusting
- Needs trained applicators and disciplined substrate preparation — this is not a DIY resin coating
- Laying temperatures should stay within roughly +5°C to +35°C, which can affect winter or cold-store scheduling
- At 6 mm thickness, continuous service tops out around +80°C, so thicker sections are needed for hotter duty
- Colour choice is limited next to decorative or self-levelling resin systems
- As a rigid, high-mass screed it needs a structurally sound, adequately strong substrate to bond to
Selection & best practice
Start with the substrate: it has to be structurally sound and mechanically opened up — shot-blasting or diamond grinding, not just a light sweep — with joints keyed in and priming done within its recoat window. Keep ambient and floor temperatures inside roughly +5°C to +35°C while mixing and laying; outside that band, cure times and finish quality both suffer. Mix each pre-weighed kit as a complete unit rather than splitting or topping it up, since the resin-to-aggregate ratio is what gives the screed its strength and its thermal match to the slab. Trowel to the specified thickness in one pass, work the texture consistently across the bay so slip resistance doesn’t vary underfoot, and keep traffic off the surface until it has cured enough to bear it — sooner with the accelerated system. On food, dairy or pharma sites, plan coving at wall-floor junctions and drains as part of the same sequence, since that’s usually the first thing a hygiene audit checks.

Industry use cases
Dairy & Beverage
Bottling and CIP wash-down floors where hot caustic cleaning and constant wetness would otherwise strip a coated floor; the textured screed stays bonded and grippy.
Meat & Food Processing
Slaughter, deboning and packing halls need a seamless, taint-free floor that copes with fats, blood and daily sanitation without harbouring bacteria.
Cold Storage & Freezers
Chiller rooms and blast-freezer aprons see repeated freeze-thaw cycling; matched thermal movement stops the screed cracking or lifting.
Pharmaceutical & Chemical
Process floors need chemical resistance and easy cleaning under trolleys, drums and occasional spill exposure.
Commercial Kitchens
Cook lines, prep areas and dishwash zones in hotels and hospitals need slip resistance where grease and water are a daily safety risk.

How we position Master Builders Solutions Ucrete UD200 SR (Master Builders Solutions)
Within the Ucrete range, UD200 SR is the texture-first choice for floors that are wet or greasy for most of the shift; where the area is largely dry, the standard smooth Ucrete UD200 usually fits better, and lighter-duty zones may only need a thinner Master Builders Solutions resin system rather than a full screed. Space Arc also stocks Fosroc’s Nitoflor range for sites standardised on that brand, and carries Sika, Dr. Fixit, MC-Bauchemie and UltraTech products for the waterproofing, repair and jointing work that typically surrounds a flooring project — so a plant can source primer-to-coving flooring, plus the drainage and structural repair around it, from one distributor.
Fosroc Fosroc Nitoflor TF120UB — A specifier standardised on Fosroc can specify this equivalent heavy-duty, four-component polyurethane screed, laid at a similar 5-12 mm for thermal-shock, hot-wash food and cold-store floors, with a stated service range of -45°C to +115°C.
