The technical insight
A movement joint at a corner is geometrically harder than a straight run because the two walls move on different axes: the joint can open, close, and shear simultaneously as each wing of the building expands or settles. A mitred straight profile is rigid across the turn, so this differential movement concentrates stress at the cut joint — screws work loose and the mitre opens. The D-Seal corner profile resolves this differently. Clip-retaining members are anchored to each wall face independently, and the corner cover floats between them, held by spring-clip engagement rather than through-fixings. Selection & best practice
Measure before you order. Record the actual joint gap on both walls at several heights, note whether the corner is internal or external, and check the walls are plumb — corner profiles forgive far less variation than straight runs.
