Sika Stabilizer-110
A surfactant-and-polymer compaction aid that helps dry-cast plants fill moulds faster, strip cleaner and gain strength earlier — without a drop of extra water.
What is it?
A liquid manufacturing admixture for dry-cast and zero-slump concrete, built from surfactants and water-reducing polymers that disperse cement and lubricate the mix.
Where is it used?
Concrete block, paver, hollow-core slab, kerbstone and dry-cast/packerhead pipe production lines running on vibro-compaction or packerhead machines.
Why use it?
It speeds mould filling, sharpens edges, lifts early and final strength and lets you swap in pozzolans — while cutting machine wear and mould breakage.
How is it applied?
Dosed at 0.2 to 1% by weight of cement and added into the water line at the batch plant; never blended into dry cement. Finalise the exact rate by site trial.
About Sika Stabilizer-110
Sika Stabilizer-110 is a purpose-built manufacturing aid for the dry-cast side of the precast industry — the world of concrete masonry blocks, paver blocks, kerbs, hollow-core units and dry-cast or packerhead pipes where the mix is almost bone-dry and compaction, not flow, does the work. It is an aqueous blend of surfactants and water-reducing polymers that goes in at the batch plant and behaves as an integral densifying agent: it disperses cement grains, lubricates the mix internally and helps a stiff, near-zero-slump concrete pack tightly into the mould under vibration and pressure. For a production supervisor, that translates into cycles that run faster and units that come off the machine looking and testing better.
Because the chemistry carries no calcium chloride and no intentionally added chloride, the product will not trigger or feed corrosion of embedded steel, so it sits comfortably in reinforced precast work. It is compatible with the cements, pozzolans and IS/ASTM admixtures already on most Indian batching floors, which makes it straightforward to slot into an existing mix design rather than rebuild one. Space Arc Engineering supplies Sika Stabilizer-110 as an authorised distributor across Delhi NCR and Pan-India, in 230 kg drums or bulk, and can walk your plant through the trial dosing that fixes the right rate for your aggregate, cement and machine.
The technical insight
Dry-cast concrete is a compaction problem, not a workability problem. With water-to-cement ratios kept deliberately low so units can strip immediately, the mix has little internal lubrication and the cement tends to clump rather than coat every aggregate face. Sika Stabilizer-110 attacks both issues at once. The water-reducing polymers adsorb onto cement particles and push them apart, breaking up flocs so the paste is finer and more uniform; the surfactant fraction reduces internal friction so the semi-dry mix slides and rearranges into the mould corners under vibration. The result is denser packing at the same or lower water content — which is why the same batch fills form boxes more quickly, produces sharper, chip-resistant edges and a cleaner form swipe, and gains both early and final strength. Better particle dispersion also means pozzolanic cement replacement can be pushed further without losing strength or finish, and because the mix packs rather than relies on heat, plants can ease back on curing temperatures while holding their early-strength targets.
Where it is used
- placeholder
Key advantages
- Chloride-free chemistry that will not initiate or promote corrosion of embedded steel
- Faster filling of forms and mould boxes, lifting machine productivity
- Sharper, better-defined edges on blocks, columns and pipes that resist chipping
- Improved early and final compressive strength from denser compaction
- Internal lubrication that reduces wear and extends the life of moulds and machine parts
- Lets pozzolans replace part of the cement while holding strength and workability
- More uniform, consistent colour and finish, especially on lighter shades
- Reduces breakage and culls, cutting reject rates on the line
Limitations & considerations
- Not recommended for high-slump or flowable concrete — it is a dry-cast/zero-slump product only
- The correct dosage must be established by site trial; there is no single fixed rate
- Must be added into the water line at the batch plant and never mixed with dry cement
- Performance depends on machine compaction and vibration; it is an aid, not a substitute for a sound mix design
- Benefits are geared to precast/manufactured units, not to ready-mix or site-poured concrete
Selection & best practice
Start by running a small production trial across the working range (0.2 to 1% by weight of cement) to find the rate that gives the best fill, finish and strip time for your specific cement, aggregate grading and machine. Add the measured dose manually or through an automated dispenser directly into the batch water — do not introduce it into dry cement, as it needs water to disperse. Keep the drum sealed and stored dry between +10 C and +40 C, out of direct sunlight and frost; if the liquid settles during storage, agitate it thoroughly to restore it before use. Because the product interacts with your pozzolan content, re-check dosage whenever you change fly-ash proportion, cement source or mould geometry, and always cross-reference the current Safety Data Sheet for handling.

How we position Sika Stabilizer-110
Sika Stabilizer-110 sits firmly in the dry-cast manufacturing-aid category, so it complements rather than competes with our workability admixtures. Where a mix actually needs to flow — ready-mix, pumped or high-slump precast — pair it conceptually with a Sika ViscoCrete superplasticiser or Sika Plastiment water reducer instead of using Stabilizer-110. For plants running the dry-cast line, Space Arc can also supply Sika curing compounds and Sika mould release agents to complete the production chain, plus release-oil and finishing systems from our other brand families. Buyers standardising across a batching floor often stock one compaction aid alongside a general-purpose plasticiser and an accelerator; we can help build that shortlist from the Sika range and cross-brand equivalents we distribute.
Fosroc Conplast Drymix 1 — A specifier already standardised on Fosroc for a block or paver plant may prefer Conplast Drymix 1, a low-dosage cement-dispersing admixture engineered for the same semi-dry, machine-compacted concrete.
