Sika® Antisol® E (WP)
Wax-emulsion white-pigmented curing compound for large exposed concrete
Product Overview
Sika® Antisol® E (WP) is a wax-based, white-pigmented liquid curing compound formulated from an aqueous wax emulsion and inorganic pigment. Stirred and sprayed uniformly onto freshly placed concrete once surface water has evaporated, it builds a protective barrier that prevents the mixing water from escaping during the critical early curing period. Retaining this moisture lets cement hydration proceed fully, so the concrete reaches its designed strength while plastic cracking, shrinkage and surface dusting are reduced. The white pigment reflects solar heat, making it well suited to large, sun-exposed pours, and the wax membrane offers strong moisture retention on extensive horizontal surfaces. Typical uses include highways, runways, taxiways, aprons, roof decks and canal linings. Space Arc Engineering, an authorized Sika distributor in India, supplies Antisol E (WP) for high-volume infrastructure curing.
Features & Benefits
- Wax membrane gives strong moisture retention on large slabs
- White pigment reflects heat and lowers thermal cracking risk
- Helps concrete achieve its designed strength through full hydration
- Reduces plastic shrinkage cracking and surface dusting
- Replaces ponding and hessian-watering, saving water and labour
- Available in multiple pack sizes for jobs of any scale
Technical Highlights
| Coverage | Consumption about 0.10-0.20 kg/m², varying with wind, humidity and temperature; confirm by trial (refer to TDS). |
| Strength | Supports complete hydration so concrete attains its designed strength; it is a curing aid, not a strength additive. |
| Performance | Forms a wax barrier that curtails early water loss, plastic cracking and dusting on exposed concrete. |
| Application Conditions | Stir well and spray uniformly after surface water evaporates; a low-pressure sprayer is recommended. |
| Packaging | Supplied in 20 kg, 100 kg and 230 kg containers. |
Applications
- National highway and expressway pavement-quality concrete
- Airport runways, taxiways and aprons over very large areas
- Concrete roof decks and podium slabs on commercial projects
- Canal and reservoir linings in water-resources infrastructure
- Industrial hardstanding and external slabs needing durable curing

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Sika Antisol E (WP) used for?
It is a wax-based white curing compound sprayed onto fresh concrete to prevent water loss during curing. It is widely used on highways, runways, roof decks and canal linings where reliable moisture retention over large areas is needed.
How much Antisol E (WP) is needed per square metre?
Typical consumption is about 0.10-0.20 kg/m², depending on wind, humidity, temperature and surface texture. Confirm the practical rate with a site trial and the current TDS.
Should concrete cured with Antisol E (WP) be over-coated?
Because it is wax-based, it is best suited where no bonded coating follows. If the surface will later be painted or rendered, choose an acrylic grade such as Antisol A-4. Refer to the TDS for guidance.
How is Antisol E (WP) applied?
Stir thoroughly, then spray it uniformly onto the concrete once the surface free water has evaporated, preferably with a low-pressure sprayer. Protect the area from rain in the early curing period.
